Calling all engaged citizens, scientists, artists, engineers, economists, sustainability enthusiasts, architects, makers, urban farmers, hackers, community activists, film-makers, occupiers, entrepreneurs, urban planners, nonprofits.

The Institute of Future Living (IFL) and Stop Reset Go (SRG) is proud to be hosting Open Source Circular Economy (OSCE) days South Africa 2016. Collaborate with change agents in over 60 cities around the planet and participate in a series of open idea jams to co-create the sustainable world you want to live in. Here is your chance to be part of a new global citizen’s movement.

  • Hack-the-Shack – Calling all shack-tivists to join us think outside the box with circular techniques to address the shack and slum problem of the planet
  • Open Source Circular Ecohome – Explore an open source, circular ecohome with all successful designs open sourced and candidate for local manufacturing
  • OpenC – Use open data and an open source approach to a better Johannesburg

We are inviting the citizens from Johannesburg & Pretoria to join us circularize our city. Our topics and event program is listed below. If you have an interesting topics or ideas you want to share, please contact us and in the nature of the OSCE event we will try and incorporate you into the two days. This day is designed to stimulate out-of-the-box circular and biomimetic thinking to tackle the tough ecological and economic challenges we face. Come out and jam with us!
