Education charity Wonder Foundation recently conducted research on the barriers to learning English that refugee women face when in London. They forged connections with hard-to-reach people who are vulnerable, sometimes new to the country and out of reach of many public services. The research project gave Wonder Foundation food for thought about the benefits and challenges of designing participatory projects in the voluntary sector.
Delivered by guest speaker Olivia Darby of Wonder Foundation, this session will inform and facilitate discussion about co-producing knowledge in the voluntary sector.
This event is part of UCL’s Global Citizenship Programme (Voluntary Sector). The GCP is a free two week programme which brings students together from across UCL to explore our biggest global challenges, and to develop hands-on skills. Find out more: ucl.ac.uk/global-citizenship-programme.
